This is all my fault :)

Tell the rest of the community about yourself - how you got interested in aviation - what simulators you have used - what your favourite aircraft is and why - it's up to you.

I'm Jonathan - I created VirtualFlight.Online, and continue to tinker with it as the community grows.

I grew up through the late 1980s playing on the first 8 bit and 16 bit simulators - then on a PC in the 1990s. I think I've owned just about every version of Flight Simulator since version 2 for the Atari ST (back when it was developed by Sublogic). I also had a copy of Jet (who remembers that!) - the fast jet simulator developed on the same engine. I've also tinkered with lots of other sims over the years - TFX, Falcon, DCS, and many others - but I invariably come back to Flight Simulator. For a couple of years I flew X-Plane and P3D week-in, week-out, but then MSFS came along and that was the end of that.

I started VirtualFlight.Online just to create a community - not long after Flight Simulator was released I developed "Transmitter" (the little program that shows where you are on LittleNavMap), and started organising regular group flights. In mid 2022 I scratched a long standing itch and started the airline too. I thought we might get 30 or 40 pilots. I got that wrong!

Anyway - in the daytime I work as a software and web developer for a big company that build systems for bigger companies. You might have even seen and used some of the stuff I've worked on - I'll never tell you where though.

If you read this far, you probably deserve a medal of some sort.
